Over in the Grasslands by Anna Wilson and Alison Bartlett reads more like poetry than a counting picture book. The words are playful, but also soothing. And the illustrations follow that same theme. Just as I was about to type that I like the frog page best, I remembered the page with the bees...and the one with the monkeys.
This is one of those books you can read again and again and not get sick of...and the little ones will love it! Books like this are why I love Scholastic!!
