The Next-Door Dogs

I read The Next-Door Dogs by Colby Rodowsky, illustrated by Amy June Bates. Sara Barker is a capable spitfire of a girl, brave in everything--except when it comes to dogs! She is petrified. So what is she supposed to do when a new neighbor moves in with not one, but TWO, great big dogs?!!

I enjoyed Sara's character because she makes me think of another special little gal I know. The fear of dogs is real for many young people (and old people for that matter!), and this book is one girl's story of overcoming her fear and being the brave girl she is.

Other titles by Rodowsdy that I would like to read are Jason Rat-a-tat and Not My Dog. Have you read them?
