My boys are at a fun age. They don't just babble words anymore...they really communicate. They can sing the ABC song and they can't count pretty high. The counting is an abstract concept though. So when we read counting books, we point to each item and count them out. My guys think this is pure joy...me not so much.
I love to read them fairy tales. And robot stories. And dinosaur scares! But counting over and over isn't much fun for a (semi) grown-up. When I find counting books that are more pleasant to read again and again, I take note!
