Years ago, my husband and I made a road trip to see our dear friends who were then living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That is a long drive, people. So, as always, I checked out some books, audio books, and movies from the library. One of the books I checked out was Gary Chapman's The 5 Love Languages. My husband kind of wriggled his nose, but when you are bored and driving and your wife is reading to you, you don't have much of a choice. In about 10 minutes, he was a believer though!! We laughed out loud doing the quiz in the back and figuring out what our love languages are. So fun. In fact, when we got to Albuquerque, we made our friends do the quiz too!
Well, now Chapman has come up with a The 5 Love Languages For Men. (No more nose wriggling!) This book is directed at men with their interests in mind. And it is funny! There are cartoon like illustrations to bring home the point in each section. They all made me giggle.
This book "speaks straight to men about the rewards of speaking their wife's love language."
So maybe the next time we make the long drive to visit our friends, we will take this one along for the ride...
