My Two Cents
Oh, y'all! I have wanted to read this little lovely for quite some time!! I love the magical world that White has created. His use of imagery just sets the reader's imagination on fire! I could close my eyes and see Kara's world. And Kara Westfall is such a fabulous character...one part innocence and one part power & tenacity. Kara is the epitome of courageous as she deals with the truths she discovers--truths that challenge everything she has ever believed. Kara, like all kids, holds more power than she ever imagined. This is just the kind of empowering story that I love for my kiddo to read! The story is fantastic and filled with the best kind of adventure: the kind that takes crazy courage and leads to truth. And the book is written so well. Great writing and great editing! This little tale is The Chronicles of Narnia meet M. Night Shyamalan. I could not put it down! Be sure to pick up a copy...oh, and you should probably go ahead and grab the second book in this series (take it from someone who's been down this road).
