No stranger to middle grade, this author is also the creator of the The Choir Girls trilogy. I absolutely can't wait to read The Main Dish! I'm excited about this one because it seems to cover that gap between middle grade and YA...looking forward to seeing how Kimble handles this in her writing--particularly in the dialogue!
Mr. Penguin and the Fortress of Secrets

This books looks like the ultimate adventure book for middle grade readers! It is Book 2 in the Mr. Penguin series. Smith is also the author of the adorable Claude books that the whole world seems to love. I'm anxiously waiting to read this one to my kids...they LOVED the Claude series!
