I'm still working hard at finding non-fiction books that are appealing to me. Last week I found Satchel Paige at the library. It's written by Lesa Cline-Ransome, illustrated by James E. Ransome.
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed learning about the life of Leroy (Satchel) Paige! I think it will appeal to anyone who loves history, baseball, or biographies! The text is not terribly imaginative, with the exception of the first page. It begins by dismissing the tall tales about Satchel and is pretty darn cute, if you ask me!
