I've had the privilege of reading not one, but two fabulous devotionals for tweens lately! I think this is a particularly hard age to target when it comes to spiritual matters, so for me to recommend a devotional that I would actually purchase and use with my own child is kind of a big deal. These books are both solid. They are Bible based and fun to read while still being relevant.
The Smart Girl's Guide to Mean Girls, Manicures, & God's Amazing Plan by Susie Shellenberger & Kristin Weber published by Shiloh Run Press
The Blurb
This book challenges young Christian girls as they navigate the challenges of life.
My Two Cents
First things first, this book, in my opinion is suited more to tweens instead of teens. My daughter is 11 and it is perfect as far as content goes. It pairs Biblical truth with practical advice and speaks to the heart of young girls. You're God's Girl by Wynter Pitts published by Harvest House Publishers
The Blurb
This devotional helps girls see the unique beauty of who God made them to be. They will be blessed as they absorb the power of God's promises.
My Two Cents
I had the honor of meeting Wynter Pitts at the Declare Conference last year. She is a gem. I loved her previous devotional, For Girls Like You, and more importantly, so did my girl. We patiently waited for You're God's Girl to come out and it did not disappoint! The individual devotions show tweens that God made them unique and that they should embrace who they are in Him.
