The Blurb

This book is filled with down to earth Bible lessons based in scripture.  Each devotion is illustrated and includes ideas for young people to but their faith into action.

My Two Cents

I started watching Duck Dynasty early on a fell in love with the entire Robertson crew.  They are tight-knit family that holds both their family and their faith dear.  And, in case you hadn't heard, they also LOVE to hunt, fish, and frog gig!  The men are hilarious, and their wives are patient!  If I came home to some of the wildlife these women have, I would die!  They are awesome role models and I have been so anxious to read through this book since I got it a few weeks ago!

Now that I've had the chance to read it, I can formally recommend it!  It is a perfect little devotional for kids from around 4 to about age 8 or 9.  The illustrations are adorable.  Simple and cute.

Duck Commander Devotions for Kids

Each devotional begins with a Bible verse--typically from the International Children's Bible, but there are a few NIV verses mixed in as well.  Following the verse is a little story to illustrate the point. There is a short prayer as well as a "Duck Commander in Action" action item.  For example, one devotion is on Proverbs 15:1 (A gentle answer turns away wrath...), and the action item is about not fighting with siblings and includes tips on harnessing your anger.

This book is a great devotional for a parent to do with their little ones and it would also make an excellent gift!
