Oh, how I love those words!  This book captured what it is like to be a pre-pubescent girl, unsure of herself, unsure of where she would end up.  But it really speaks to the heart of each of us, doesn't it? 

"What if you weren't even sure exactly what you were afraid of?"

Quiet Mattie Breen has moved...again.  She gets to help her Uncle Potluck with his janitorial duties at her new school.  And she begins making a list of custodial wisdom.  She may have met a friend, but she's still not sure...

"How would you know what small brave thing to do first?"

People, this book was great.  You don't always get great writing in middle grade novels, but this is great writing and I really enjoyed it!  Better grab a copy below or at your local library!

And now I'm dying to read A Crooked Kind of Perfect, also by Linda Urban!
