Just a quick thought on Kidlit

Every time I read YA, I relive a bit of my younger days.  Just typing that makes me feel older!  But it seriously makes me think of relationships I haven't thought of in years.  And yet those people are there in my past.  They encouraged me.  They loved me.  They hurt me.  They shaped me.

It makes me laugh at adults who think they are too mature for kidlit.  Kidlit captures who you are in the simplest way.  It's really quite beautiful.

And when I walk down memory lane, I smile...blessed by the experiences I've had...my only regrets are those friendships and commonalites I didn't discover sooner.
