This YA novel has a pretty cool premise:
"Tattoos once were an act of rebellion. Now they decide your destiny the moment the magical Ink settles under your skin."
Caenum doesn't want to be inked. He wants to become the person he becomes because of him...not because his tattoo dictates it. Add in a beautiful best friend, an unforeseen journey, and some other quirky characters and you've got a pretty good tale going. I really enjoyed the book until about the last third. The conclusion happened too soon with too little explanation. I'm not a gal that needs a happy ending, but I do like one that is a bit more explained.
